Test Design Support Engineer

Overview of department:

Responsibilities

1. You will act as the interface between our design teams and our manufacturing teams while working alongside other support engineers to provide knowledge and support.
2. While the primary focus is on highly advanced module missile programmes and subsystems, there is also scope to work on other opportunities, including support to launcher assemblies.

Skillset/experience required:

To be suitable for this role, individuals will demonstrate several of the following attributes:

1. Degree qualified (or equivalent industry experience) with experience in designing products/systems and/or supporting designs through manufacturing.
2. Proven experience in the design of disciplines such as:

• Digital and Analogue electronics
• Power Electronics
• RF & Antenna
• Interconnects
• Safety Electronics
• Test Systems
• Schematic design
• PCB Design
• Adherence to BS EN Standards

Excellent verbal communication, negotiation, and influencing skills, with the ability to write clear engineering documentation.

Experience working within a multi-disciplinary team, with an awareness of associated challenges and opportunities, and a passion for innovation and collaboration.

Ability to work autonomously, lead work assignments, and engage with stakeholders for successful delivery.

Experience managing work packages, including bids, controlling costs, and delivering solutions.

Experience supporting manufacturing and resolving manufacturing issues is advantageous.

Strong investigative skills to identify root causes of design issues and propose corrective actions.

A record of on-time delivery and good communication skills, both verbal and written.
