Job summary

Anson McCade is seeking an Electronics Test & Calibration Engineer to join a defence industry engineering team. You will calibrate, maintain and repair high‑end electrical and electronic test equipment, perform fault finding, commissioning and routine calibration across a range from DC to microwave.

The role is hands‑on, requiring an HNC/HND in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or equivalent, experience with test equipment and calibration, and the ability to read drawings and manuals.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience with electronic test equipment and measurement systems.
• Calibration, maintenance, fault finding or repair experience.
• Ability to diagnose and repair equipment down to component level.
• Good understanding of calibration principles and processes.
• Comfortable reading technical drawings, specifications and manuals.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• SAP experience would be advantageous.

An exciting opportunity for an Electronics Test & Calibration Engineer to join a specialist engineering team supporting the manufacture and testing of complex defence systems.

This is a hands‑on role focused on keeping sophisticated electrical and electronic test equipment operating accurately and reliably. You’ll work across everything from routine calibration and commissioning through to fault finding, repair and investigating equipment performance issues.

With exposure to technologies ranging from DC through to microwave, the role offers excellent variety and the opportunity to develop your knowledge across a broad range of test and measurement equipment.
