Job description

Electronics Technician

Location: Witney, Oxfordshire

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 Per Annum

Our client is a leader in their industry, specializing in designing, developing, and manufacturing high-precision products. They are seeking an enthusiastic Electronics Technician to work closely with their engineering design team.

Electronics Technician Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Build, test, and validate prototypes or existing designs, including:
    • Soldering electronic components to PCBs
    • Performing electro/mechanical assembly, wiring, and crimping
    • Coil winding
    • Conducting validation testing of completed units and sub-assemblies
    • Fault finding to determine causes of failure
    • Building or repairing products according to Sales or Repair Orders
  • Create technical documentation for new and existing products
  • Participate in the entire product design process as part of the R&D team, from initial research to production release
  • Manage Design Changes (DCNs)
  • Liaise with suppliers
Skills and Experience Required:
  • High manual dexterity
  • Ability to solder both through-hole and surface-mount components
  • Understanding of electronic circuit diagrams and mechanical drawings
  • Fault finding down to component level using scopes, multimeters, etc.
  • Proficiency in IT, including MS Office and Adobe Acrobat
  • Technical qualification (desirable)
  • Experience in creating or modifying technical documentation
Working Hours:
  • 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
