Info About What The Electronics Service Technician Entails
The Electronics Service Technician will be responsible for:
Fault-finding and repairing professional audio, video and wireless equipment down to component level.
Assembling, disassembling and testing electronic products.
Reworking PCBs containing both surface mount and through-hole components.
Preparing estimates and documenting work performed for our customers.
Repairing and maintaining test equipment.
Requirements Of The Electronics Service Technician
Educated to minimum HNC level in electronics or related field.
At least 2 years experience in a related role.
Able to read and interpret complex schematics and data sheets.
Competent at soldering and reworking fine pitch SMT and through-hole components.
Proficient in use of oscilloscopes, DMMs, bench power supplies and stereo microscopes etc.
Knowledge of professional audio equipment, audio circuitry, RF and switching power supplies is desirable.
