Job Summary

NPE is seeking a skilled and motivated Electronics Technician to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in repairing and maintaining electronic equipment, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. Key Responsibilities
  • PCB Repair and Maintenance:
  • Expertly solder and rework PCB boards using advanced repair techniques.
  • Perform repair services on various PCB types, including single-phase and three-phase circuits.
  • Skilled in the repair and service of single-phase and three-phase circuit boards.
  • Technical Troubleshooting:
  • Read, interpret, and translate PCB diagrams and schematics for effective troubleshooting and repair.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues at the component level to ensure equipment functionality.
  • Component Knowledge:
  • Utilise in-depth knowledge of electronic components such as SMT/SMD, PTH, power MOSFETs, IGBTs, and thyristors.
  • Comprehensive experience in repairing and servicing switch-mode power supplies (SMPS), both single-phase and three-phase, as well as other high-voltage PCB boards.
  • Repair and service switch-mode power supplies (SMPS) and other high-voltage PCB boards.
  • Work closely with team members to support project goals.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities.
Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Electronic Engineering Technician. The technician will be responsible for performing various tasks related to electronic engineering, including :

Qualifications
  • Eligibility:
  • Must be a UK resident with a valid work permit.
  • Education:
  • Degree or certification in Electronic Engineering (Diploma of Higher Education preferred).
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 3 years in electronic repair, preferably within the industrial electronics sector.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in Electronic Engineering.
  • Proficient with test equipment and conducting tests on electronic systems.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Preferred:
  • Full UK driver’s license.
Compensation
  • Salary: £27,000.00 - £30,000.00 per year
  • Additional Pay: Performance bonus opportunities
Work Schedule
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM
  • Location: On-site at our facility in Newcastle Upon Tyne
