Qualifications

  • Performing instrument calibration and repair in a scientific environment.

  • Preparation of technical calibration reports.

Overview

Electronics Technician

World class research, development and test engineering organisation. UKAS accredited laboratory environment. Electronics Technician or Instrumentation Technician to conduct instrument calibration and repair. Salary & Package

This Electronics Technician job will suit
  • A Technician with practical electronics experience, ideally instrument calibration and repair.
  • A recently completed apprenticeship or college qualification within an electronics related discipline.
  • You are likely to have a relevant qualification (HND / BTEC or Degree) in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or similar discipline.
  • Ability to read and create basic electronics designs.
  • Hands on in nature and have an inquisitive mindset when it comes to electronics and testing.

  • Mechanical and electrical assembly methods and practices, including digital interfacing techniques.
  • Preparation of technical calibration reports.
  • Fault finding to component level, soldering to replace surface mount devices.
