Job description

Electronics Technician

A small, specialist design and manufacturing business now have a need for an additional Electronics Technician to join their skilled production and service team.

The work will be varied and will involve the assembly, testing and quality control of various electronic products in collaboration with other technicians in the Production Department.

Duties and tasks

The Electronics Technician will be required to carry out the following duties:

• Following assembly specifications to assemble the components and subassemblies for products in production
• Test, quality control and functionality of sub-assemblies
• Final test reporting
• The repair and servicing of products returned from the field
• Provide after-sales support for the resolution of any problems in the field.

Skills and Experience

• Good knowledge of electronics
• Good working knowledge of electronic instrumentation
• Good ability to read circuit diagrams
• Good ability to solder microelectronic components
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
