Job summary

Lynx Recruitment seeks an experienced QC Inspector for a Dorset-based electronics manufacturing environment. You will inspect incoming materials, components and finished products to ensure they meet specifications before progressing through production or being accepted into stock.

You will read engineering drawings and use measurement tools such as verniers, micrometers and gauges, documenting results and collaborating with Quality, Production and Engineering to drive quality improvements and

Qualifications

• Previous experience in Goods-In Inspection or Production Inspection within manufacturing.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams and technical documentation.
• Experience inspecting electronic assemblies, sub-assemblies and components, including PCBAs.
• Confident using a range of inspection equipment and measuring instruments.

Responsibilities

• Carry out incoming goods inspections against drawings, specs and purchase requirements.
• Perform visual and dimensional inspections using inspection equipment.
• Complete in-process and final inspections of manufactured products and assemblies.
• Review supplier certifications, inspection paperwork and product traceability documentation.
• Identify and report non-conforming materials or components.
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams on quality issues and corrective actions.
• Maintain inspection records and update quality systems.
• Support stock control and stores activities when required.
• Ensure inspection activities comply with quality, health and safety requirements.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in Quality and Manufacturing.
