Job summary

VanRath Search & Selection is seeking a Production Operative for a electronics manufacturing site in Mallusk, Newtownabbey, Northern Ireland. The role offers a structured Monday–Thursday pattern with a three-day weekend and overtime opportunities, with a starting hourly rate of around £13.25–£13.50.

You will operate production machinery, assemble PCBA units and components, and perform soldering tasks while maintaining safety and quality standards. A pension scheme is provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
• Soldering skills and familiarity with electronic components and PCBAs.
• Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively within a team.
• Basic computer skills (ECDL or similar desirable).

Responsibilities

• Operate production machinery for electronic product assembly.
• Assemble cable looms, mechanical components, and PCBA units with accuracy.
• Perform soldering tasks and support kit preparation.
• Meet daily and weekly production targets while maintaining high quality standards.
• Adhere to health and safety protocols and support LEAN manufacturing initiatives.
• Keep your workstation clean, organised, and safe while supporting various product lines.
