The Electronics Technician will be responsible for the manufacture, maintenance, and testing of PCBs and sensor assemblies. The role includes collaboration with the design team to develop PCB and sensor prototypes. Responsibilities include:

  • PCB assembly, modification, and testing to IP-610 standards.
  • Sensor build, programming, calibration, and testing.
  • Prototype PCB and sensor development.
  • Manufacturing, servicing, and repairing PCBs and sensors to high standards.
  • Understanding PCB schematics and wiring documentation.
  • Electronics fault investigation and rectification.
  • Inspection and sign-off of electronic parts and assemblies.
  • Manufacturing test equipment for electronics inspection.
  • Supporting factory chassis builds and event turnarounds.
  • Coordination with various build areas and departments.
  • Working with the production leader to meet schedules.
  • Promoting teamwork and effective communication.
  • Providing feedback to improve manufacturing drawings.
  • Purchasing electrical consumables.
  • Ensuring safety and good working environment.

Essential skills:

  • Experience in PCB assembly, modification, and testing.
  • Soldering and rework of surface mount components.
  • Experience in F1 manufacturing techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks.

Desirable skills:

  • Component lifing system experience.
  • Certified IP-610 Technician.
  • Use of power supplies, multimeters, and testing equipment.
  • Basic sensor technology knowledge.
  • Experience with MIL-Spec F1 connectors and protection components.
