Job Title: Electronics Production Engineer

Salary: 35,000 - 55,000/annum DOE

Our client is an innovative tech company born from Oxford University research, now expanding rapidly with global operations. They specialise in advanced wireless location systems and camera-based sensors for hazardous industrial environments.


Due to growth they are seeking an Electronics Production Engineer to join their team. You'll support manufacturing and new product introduction, working closely with engineering, quality, and production teams.


You'll need hands-on electronics manufacturing experience, strong attention to detail, and excellent documentation skills. A background in products with embedded firmware and test/debug knowledge is key.


You will be required to:


  • Collaborate with engineering and support teams to diagnose and resolve field-reported product issues

  • Perform validation testing of software release candidates

  • Develop detailed test procedures and define acceptance criteria

  • Assist in the creation and implementation of automated system testing

  • Support ongoing improvements to quality management processes and documentation

  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives and root cause problem-solving

  • Carry out factory acceptance testing on customer systems

  • Travel occasionally to third-party manufacturing and testing facilities


Skills and Experience:


  • Experience with system-level testing strategies and methodologies

  • Fundamental IT system administration skills using command-line interfaces (Windows and Linux)

  • Ability to create clear test procedures and define effective reporting criteria


Some desirable, but not essential, skills would include:


  • Designing and automating system test fixtures using scripting languages or PLCs

  • Performing basic electrical fault diagnosis using standard test equipment

  • Analysing test data to identify trends and anomalies

  • Developing software in languages such as C# and Python

  • Writing shell scripts using tools like Bash or PowerShell
