Job Description:

We are seeking an Electronics Production Engineer for a client in the manufacturing industry of laboratory automation products, based in East Grinstead. With a recent product launch, the company aims to expand its engineering department.

The ideal candidate will have experience or understanding of the electronics industry and will be responsible for:

  1. Supporting sales efforts through proposals for new products and configurations.
  2. Testing and refining hardware, electronics, and firmware with the development team.
  3. Creating electronic and mechanical design documentation using Autodesk Inventor CAD.
  4. Managing functional and life testing of new products and features.
  5. Supporting production, especially regarding firmware and electronic/mechanical interfaces.
  6. Translating practical support into detailed procedures.
  7. Occasionally visiting customers for installation or troubleshooting.

Qualifications and experience:

  1. An engineering degree in a relevant field, preferably mechatronics or electronics. Mechanical degrees will be considered if there is experience with electronic modules.
  2. Previous experience in electronics is highly beneficial.
  3. Experience working within a production and development engineering department.
  4. Residency within a commutable distance of East Grinstead.
  5. A full UK driving license is advantageous.

Compensation and benefits:

  • Salary: £28,000 to £40,000, depending on skills, qualifications, and experience.
  • Full-time, Monday to Friday.
  • Holiday package, company pension scheme, and other benefits.
