Overview

We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer for a 12-month contract based in Solihull on behalf of Rolls-Royce who develop cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planet's vital power needs.

Responsibilities
  • Creation of technical packages for new processes and repairs, including process plans/operation sequences, technical instructions and inspection plans.
  • Driving validation activities; progressing trial parts through the facility, compiling validation evidence and inspection results (for first article inspection reports).
  • Cross-functional problem solving; working closely with laboratory, materials specialists, meteorologists, programmers and repair definers to overcome validation issues.
Qualifications
  • Good knowledge of aerospace manufacturing validation processes.
  • NADCAP audit experience.
  • Experience authoring technical instructions, operations sequences/process plans (or equivalent).
  • Competent user of Microsoft applications (Excel, Word).
  • SAP knowledge (desired but not mandatory).
  • Electronics manufacturing experience. And/Or: Chemical processing experience, including chemical stripping, plating, and anodising.
