Job summary

Pragmatic Semiconductor in Cambridge is offering a Lab Technician position on a fixed-term 6-month contract. The role operates on a shift basis (7am–7pm) with a four-on/four-off pattern, joining our electronics R&D facility.

You will support development activities, handle PCB repair, soldering, and testing, and learn wafer probers, climate chambers, microscopes, and related lab equipment under supervision of the Lab Manager. Right to work in the UK is required.

Qualifications

• Time-served qualifications and experience preferred.
• Good command of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Hands-on PCB repair, soldering and testing experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate electronic lab equipment and perform maintenance.
• Load/unload and run automatic test systems such as wafer probers.
• Solder, rework and test PCBs (0402/0603/0805).
• Support engineers with setup, inventory and troubleshooting.
• Maintain a safe, collaborative lab environment.
