Electronics Hardware Engineer – Derby

An established and growing client of mine is looking to expand their Hardware team by bringing in an experienced Electronics Hardware Engineer. You will provide design input on projects and offer new ideas for developments and new products.

As an Electronics Hardware Engineer, you will be a key member of the design and development team, contributing to the creation of test solutions for advanced automotive electronics. You should have a passion for circuit design and prototyping and play a vital role in developing market-leading electronic testing solutions.

This role is based on-site in Heanor. If you wish to discuss flexibility, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Requirements:
  • Strong experience in electronic hardware design
  • Proficiency with schematic capture and PCB layout tools (e.g., Altium Designer, KiCAD, Eagle)
  • Knowledge of microcontrollers, signal conditioning, power electronics, and interface protocols (CAN, LIN, UART, SPI, etc.)
  • Experience in prototyping, soldering, debugging, and hardware validation
  • Ability to read and interpret automotive wiring diagrams and technical specifications
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Automotive or embedded environment experience is beneficial
