Job summary

Planet Recruitment are proud to be working with a leading manufacturer of life-saving safety equipment who are looking to recruit an Electronics Field Service Engineer to join their Field Service team. This role covers the Swindon to Chippenham region, servicing, calibrating and repairing gas-detection equipment on customer sites.

You will complete service reports, maintain van stock and PPE, travel with a company van, and collaborate with the service administration team for efficient

Qualifications

• Experience troubleshooting or repairing electronic equipment.
• HNC/HND in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or similar technical qualification.
• Full UK driving licence required or essential.

Responsibilities

• Service, calibrate, and repair electronic gas detection equipment.
• Ensure equipment is tested and operational after service visits.
• Complete service reports and documentation accurately.
• Coordinate with Service Administration to schedule jobs.
• Maintain van stock, calibration equipment, PPE and tools.
• Deliver customer training once fully trained.
• Cover Swindon to Chippenham area with occasional two-person jobs travel.
