Job Description

Breakthrough technology is vital for strengthening the UK’s Defence & Homeland Security. As a Technical Consultant at Awerian, you will be at the forefront of this innovation race by helping to defend and protect the UK from the latest technological and cyber threats.

Your work will have a real-world impact. You will explore pioneering concepts by collaborating with elite multidisciplinary teams of scientists, engineers, and designers. You’ll see ideas become reality as you create prototypes through Awerian’s rapid approach to design and implementation. This role is challenging, varied, and agile.

Every day, you will operate at the boundary of technological exploration by inventing new solutions and enhancing existing hardware. This typically involves analysis, computational modelling, prototype design, invention, laboratory testing, process development, and manufacturing.

Your problem-solving skills will be enhanced as you tackle complex electronic engineering challenges that require a deep understanding of engineering fundamentals and physical principles beyond pure electronics.

The Role

As a Consultant at Awerian, you will work on cutting-edge projects in areas such as high-speed digital electronic design, RF and microwave electronics, antennas, power electronics, analogue electronics, and PCB technologies.

You may have expertise in one or more of these areas or be interested in developing further capabilities with us. There will also be scope to develop FPGA firmware (VHDL/Verilog), embedded software, and algorithms if that interests you.

You will develop skills in interacting with clients, suppliers, and experts across various fields, as well as opportunities to cultivate leadership skills on challenging technical projects.

We are looking for new graduates finishing their academic journey or candidates with up to 3 years of industry experience. We offer a supportive team environment with individual mentoring for every employee.

You will build on our successful track record and develop your career at the cutting edge of technology, supported by our team of experts. Our business is driven by curiosity and a shared passion for innovation. Whether leading projects or working as part of a team, our organization is designed to help you connect, thrive, and feel included.
