A leading Defence company is seeking Electronics/Test Engineers to support the equipment for advanced missile systems in Bolton. The role involves hands-on work with calibration and maintenance, fault finding, and complex testing. Meritus are recruiting for one of the worlds leading Defence companies for the recruitment of Electronics / Test Engineers.

These roles are completely onsite in Bolton and are paying between £35-£40ph.

Are you someone who loves getting hands-on with electronics and solving technical problems? We're looking for Electronics or Test Engineers to join our Calibration & Maintenance team. In this role, you'll be supporting the equipment that underpins the manufacture and test of some of the most advanced missile systems in the world.

Responsibilities
  • Fault finding and repairing electronic test equipment down to component level
  • Supporting and carrying out routine calibrations across a variety of systems
  • Commissioning test equipment and carrying out drift analysis to keep performance on track
  • Using manuals, drawings and specifications to troubleshoot and deliver technical solutions
  • Working on complex test platforms alongside experienced engineers, developing new skills every day
  • Sharing knowledge and mentoring junior staff when needed
  • Supporting environmental test facilities and specialist equipment where required
Qualifications
  • HNC/HND (or higher) in Electrical & Electronic Engineering (Required)
  • Hands-on experience with calibration of test equipment and maintenance of electronic systems
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills down to component level
  • Ability to work from technical instructions, drawings and specs with accuracy
  • Good knowledge of calibration principles and processes
  • A collaborative team player with clear communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities at once
  • SAP knowledge would be a bonus
  • Experience working with environmental chambers would be an advantage
  • Eligible for SC clearance (British passport)
