Electronics EngineerCarbon60 is seeking a talented Electronics Engineer to join their defence client's Calibration and Maintenance team in Stevenage, Hertfordshire. The company is a world-renowned leader in the design, development, and production of advanced missile systems and defence technologies.
Responsibilities
- Calibrating test and measuring equipment to defined instructions, handbooks, drawings, or specifications, and providing technical advice and guidance on calibration and measurement.
- Maintaining and repairing test and measuring equipment to the component level.
- Generating clear and comprehensive calibration and maintenance records for traceability purposes.
- Providing technical support to facilitate the efficient servicing of special-to-type test equipment.
- Representing the Calibration department at Integrated Production Team meetings to provide technical information and advice.
- Performing calibration, repair, and installation of test equipment at the company's and customers' sites in the UK and Europe.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum qualification: Modern Apprenticeship NVQ3. HNC/HND in Electrical and Electronics Engineering is desirable.
- Proven experience and knowledge in repair down to the component level.
- Ability to utilise instructions, handbooks, drawings, or specifications to provide technical advice, guidance, fault-finding, and repairs.
- Experience and knowledge in using RF test equipment is desirable.
- Familiarity with a variety of test systems, such as DIO, AIO, RF, temperature, and communication systems.
- A proactive attitude, innovative mindset, and a passion for calibration and maintenance activities.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Clearance: Security Clearance SC
Duration: 12 months
Pay rate: PAYE: Up to £26.04 per hour // Umbrella: Up to £35 per hour
Work Structure: Full time onsite
