The Role?
We are looking for motivated and experienced Electrical & Electronics Engineers who are keen to apply and develop their skills. You will be working in a team of experienced engineers supporting the delivery, assessment, and test of warhead electrical/electronic systems and components. Responsibilities include:
Applicants should have experience in the designing, testing, and fault-finding of electrical/electronic circuits, with the ability to analyse and assess existing designs. Knowledge of the application of electronics to defence systems would be an advantage, but not essential.
Candidates should have a degree qualification (or equivalent, e.g. HNC plus vocational training) in electrical/electronic engineering, followed by relevant experience. Training will be provided, and opportunities to study for further qualifications are available.
Some reasons we think Electronics Engineers love it here:
Candidates must be willing and able to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance for the role and be willing and able to work in designated areas.
Please note that you must be a British Citizen to apply for a role with us.
Our ambition is to create workplaces where we recognise and celebrate differences, encourage diverse contributions and our employees feel able to be themselves at work. We strive to create a genuine culture of openness and inclusion and encourage diverse applicants.
If you’re looking for a role with excitement, intrigue and something that really makes a difference then now is the time to join AWE. We are at the start of a once in a generation – possibly two generations – programme to design and produce a replacement warhead for the UK’s continuous at sea deterrent. We will do this while continuing to deliver the Trident programme as well as managing ambitious state-of-the-art capital and construction projects – some of which have never been done before.
