Job Description

Job Title: Electronic Engineer

Location: High Wycombe, Bucks

Salary: £35k-£50k - DOE

Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 35 hours per week

Responsibilities

• Design electronic and electrical circuits for new product development projects, including schematic creation and PCB layout design.
• Design PCBs for integration into new and existing systems, such as DALI driver design, Bluetooth interface devices, relay circuits, control modules, PoE switches and drivers, sensors, and component selection.
• Maintain accurate records of designs and testing processes.
• Set up long-term testing of new products, evaluate performance, and develop demo training kits.
• Train commissioning engineers on products.
• Conduct product testing, fault finding, and manage RMAs and Goods-In Inspections.
• Support in-house and field testing of new product developments.
• Design electronics to comply with relevant standards, e.g., EMC, LVD.
• Test BLE devices for functionality and communication, including app testing with firmware updates.
• Manage access to the Prolojik App for clients and liaise with software developers for improvements.
• Organize prototypes and ensure proper documentation and lab management.

Documentation

• Create PCB schematics, layouts, and BOMs.
• Generate production packs for manufacturing.
• Draw wiring diagrams and write test specifications.
• Develop supplier test jigs and fault finding guidance notes.
• Maintain design folders, files, and documentation.
• Write test reports.
