Job Description

ALTEN UK is looking for an Electronics Engineer to support a leading Aerospace & Defence client in Derby. This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-impact project in a technically rich environment.

What you’ll be doing:

• Designing and developing electronic hardware for aerospace systems.
  
  

• Creating schematics and PCB layouts for safety-critical environments.
  
  

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to validate and test designs.
  
  
  
  

Qualifications

Key Skills & Experience:

• Strong background in Electronics Engineering.
  
  

• Has done schematic capture and PCB design.
  
  

• Familiarity with aerospace standards and life cycle development.
  
  

Bonus experience (nice to have):

• Exposure to power electronics (DC-DC converters, power supplies, etc.)
  
  

• Experience with tools like Altium Designer, OrCAD, or Mentor Graphics.
  
  

• Background in safety-critical design or DO-254/DEF STAN.
