A leading electronics manufacturing firm is seeking an experienced Electronics Engineer to join their team in Rochester. You'll be responsible for complex hardware design, team coaching, and ensuring adherence to industry standards. Candidates should have a degree in electronics engineering and proven experience in digital and analogue electronics. Attractive salary range between £44,000 and £54,000, depending on experience.

Qualifications

Job Title: Electronics Engineer

Location: Rochester, Kent

Role Type: Permanent

Salary: £44,000 - £54,000 per annum depending on experience

Our client, an established electronics manufacturing firm in Rochester, require an experienced Hardware Engineer to join their multi-disciplined team.

Candidates are expected to have the right to live & work in the UK.

What the role of the Electronics Engineer entails

Some of the main duties of the Electronics Engineer will include:

  • Executing complex hardware design tasks in accordance with the hardware development plan, whilst meeting agreed timescales and allocated budgets
  • Conducting hardware requirements capture, preliminary design, detailed design including a range of analysis tasks
  • Coaching & developing the skills of junior team members
  • Delivering design artefacts in accordance with company and industry standards
  • Working with other disciplines within an integrated team
  • You'll also have people manager responsibilities in this role
What experience you need to be the successful Electronics Engineer

Essential:

  • Degree/HND in electronics engineering or an equivalent qualification
  • Proven knowledge and experience of digital &/or analogue electronics technologies
  • Experience of working through the engineering development lifecycle, from concept to product certification
  • Ability to demonstrate a good appreciation of cost and schedule constraints on designs, to meet programme needs
  • An inquisitive mind-set, articulate, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Eligibility to obtain SC Clearance

Desirable:

  • Mentor Graphics Expedition Enterprise
  • Analogue simulations tools, such as Simetrix or Spice
  • System development tools, such as Enterprise Architect, Matlab, Simulink
