Job summary

SII UK Group is seeking a Senior Electronics Engineer to design and develop complex electronic systems for defence applications across the full product lifecycle. You will contribute technical expertise within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver high-performance electronic solutions.

You will work on architecture, design, verification, testing and integration, ensuring regulatory and engineering standards are met while supporting fault investigations and design optimisations.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in electronic circuit and system design.
• Experience in Power, Digital, Analogue, High-Frequency Electronics or Electronics Architecture.
• Experience with electronics design and simulation tools.
• Knowledge of DFT and DFM principles.
• Hands‑on experience with testing, integration and fault finding.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and teamwork skills.

Job description

As a Senior Electronics Engineer, you’ll design and develop complex electronic systems for advanced defence applications, working across the full product lifecycle from requirements capture and architecture through to design, integration, testing and verification.

You’ll work within a multi-disciplinary engineering team, contributing technical expertise to develop high-performance electronic solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design complex electronic circuits, assemblies and systems
• Contribute to electronic architectures against system requirements
• Perform component and subsystem evaluation
• Create electronic schematics and work closely with PCB layout engineers

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

We’re after someone curious, creative, and confident in their technical skills — ideally with:
