Job summary

Marshall Group is seeking an Electronics Design Engineer to contribute to the R&D team. You will design analogue and digital circuitry for audio products, develop and test prototypes, and create block diagrams, schematics, and PCB layouts to meet cost and functional targets.

You will ensure EMC and safety requirements are supported, including pre-compliance testing. You will also research new technology and support existing products.

Qualifications

  • BSc/BEng (or higher) in electronics.
  • 3+ years’ experience in an electronics design role (preferably in an audio-related role).
  • Schematic capture and PCB layout experience using Altium Designer.
  • Proficiency in both analogue and digital circuit design.
  • Experience with embedded systems including both hardware and firmware development.
  • Experience in testing, fault finding, and verification/validation of requirements.
  • Strong organizational skills with a structured approach to documentation.

What you’ll do:

You will contribute to the R&D team by designing analogue and digital circuitry for our audio products. You will develop, build, and test prototypes, create block diagrams, schematics, and PCB layouts, and design to meet cost and functional targets. You will also support work to ensure our designs meet applicable EMC and safety standards, including supporting pre-compliance testing as necessary. In addition, you will contribute to research into new technology and support work to maintain existing products.

You probably have the following experiences & skills:
  • BSc/BEng (or higher) in electronics.
