Job summary

Enterprise Recruitment Limited is recruiting a Procurement Buyer for an electronics focus based in Harwell, Oxfordshire (4 days onsite). You will source and procure electronic components for a global hi-tech engineering leader, joining a growing procurement team.

You will interpret technical drawings, BOMs and specifications, work with engineering, projects and quality teams and identify new suppliers to support major space sector projects.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of buying or procurement experience.
• Experience in high-rel sectors preferred (space, aerospace, defense, rail).
• Strong understanding of electronic component lifecycles and obsolescence.
• Ability to read BOMs and technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Source, evaluate and procure electronic components (PCB, semiconductors, connectors, sensors).
• Interpret technical drawings, BOMs and specifications.
• Collaborate with engineering, projects and quality teams to qualify suppliers.
• Identify and qualify new suppliers to support growth and major projects.

Joining a growing procurement team, you will source, evaluate and procure Electronic components (PCB’s, semiconductors, connectors, sensors etc), interpreting technical drawings, BOM’s and specifications. You’ll need to work alongside different teams, including engineering, projects and quality and be able to identify and qualify new suppliers.

What are we looking for?

• 2 years + experience in buying/procurement
• Industry: high reliability sectors like space, aerospace, defense, rail etc would be preferred.
• Strong understanding of electronic component lifecycles and obsolescence
• Experience using MRP/ERP: Infor, SAP, Oracle, IFS etc
