Job summary

Enterprise Recruitment Ltd is assisting a space-focused engineering leader to recruit a Procurement Buyer (Electronics). You will source, evaluate and procure electronic components for high-reliability programmes, interpreting specifications and BOMs.

Based in Harwell, Oxfordshire, the role includes on-site work and close collaboration with engineering, projects and quality teams to identify new suppliers and manage lifecycle challenges.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of buying/procurement experience.
• Experience in high-reliability sectors such as space/aerospace/defence is preferred.
• Strong understanding of electronic component lifecycles and obsolescence.
• Experience using ERP/MRP systems (Infor, SAP, Oracle, IFS).

Responsibilities

• Source, evaluate and procure electronic components (PCBs, semiconductors, connectors, sensors).
• Interpret technical drawings, BOMs and specifications.
• Collaborate with engineering, projects and quality teams; identify and qualify new suppliers.

Location: Harwell - Oxfordshire (4 days onsite)

Joining a growing procurement team, you will source, evaluate and procure Electronic components (PCB's, semiconductors, connectors, sensors etc), interpreting technical drawings, BOM's and specifications. You'll need to work alongside different teams, including engineering, projects and quality and be able to identify and qualify new suppliers.

What are we looking for?

• 2 years + experience in buying/procurement
• Industry: high reliability sectors like space, aerospace, defense, rail etc would be preferred.
• Strong understanding of electronic component lifecycles and obsolescence
• Experience using MRP/ERP: Infor, SAP, Oracle, IFS etcBeneficial:
