Overview

Electronic Assembly Technician – Cumbernauld

Salary: Circa £32,000

Hours: 37 per week (rotating shift)

We are looking for a skilled electronics technician to join our team in Cumbernauld. If you enjoy problem solving, hands-on work, and want to grow your career in electronics, this role is for you!

Responsibilities
  • Test, troubleshoot and repair electronic products
  • Use diagnostics tools (multimeter, oscilloscope, soldering tools)
  • Carry out functional, operational and environmental testing
  • Analyse and interpret test data to support repairs
  • Read and work from schematic drawings
  • Prepare accurate written reports on test results and repair activities
Qualifications
  • HNC/HND in electronic engineering (or equivalent)
  • Strong understanding of electronics principles and repair techniques
  • Hands-on experience with diagnostic equipment
  • Knowledge of the principles of electronics and troubleshooting techniques
  • Experience testing electronic assemblies using traditional tooling (e.g., multimeter, oscilloscope, power supply, function generator)
  • Experience using a variety of hand tools and machine shop tools, and equipment such as soldering iron and hand drill
  • Basic MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills; ability to follow procedures and read schematics
Shift Information

Rotating shifts:

  • 2 weeks on Dayshift – Mon–Thu 7:00–15:30, Fri 7:00–13:30
  • 2 weeks on PM Shift – Mon–Thu 15:00–23:00, Fri 13:00–20:00
