TUALCOM's UK operation growth has moved into a new and critical phase, with the launch of a UK production line to serve the high demand of our local clients. We are therefore looking for experienced Electronics Assembly Technicians to join the team.

Position Overview:

As an Electronics Assembly Technician, you will play an important role in building sub-assemblies and complete products to the highest industry standards. The ideal candidate will have a mastery in hands-on electromechanical assembly and wiring, using the relevant tools and equipment. You will have a proven record on maintain uncompromised quality yet working efficiently to maximise output capacity to meet demand.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Electro-mechanical Assembly: Execute the electro-mechanical assembly of electronic boards and devices, in line with technical documents and drawings. This includes soldering, mechanical treatment (bonding/epoxy) and fastening, all while following strict quality protocols.
  • Quality Control: Conduct quality control checks to ensure adherence to design specifications.
  • Testing Procedures: Conduct pre- and post-assembly tests on products to verify functionality and quality.
  • Product Records keeping: Use tools/machines to commit unique identifiers to each finished product and will diligently maintain records of these identifiers on our database.
  • Productivity and Performance: Collaborate with your team and management to meet daily and weekly production goals and commit additional time to support demand peaks where needed.
  • Work Area Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized production area to ensure health, safety and operational efficiency. Maintain equipment used in the electronic assembly.
  • Inventory Management: You will manage inventory of materials and components required for assembly and support raising supply replenishment orders, through to goods received and accounted for.

What we're looking for:

  • Electrical Apprenticeship, City & Guilds Level 3, HND, HNC or experience in electrical/electronic engineering.
  • Combination of mechanical, electrical and electronic assembly skills.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in electronic board and device production with a focus on precision assembly.
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret technical drawings and documentation.
  • Experience using laboratory equipment such as soldering irons, hot air tools, measuring devices, and microscopes.
  • High level of dexterity and experience with hand tools, wiring connectors, soldering, reworking, epoxy, and adhering to ESD compliance.
  • Completed training in IPC-A-620 and IPC-J-STD-001 (or similar).
  • Methodical, logical and able to maintain focus on work tasks to completion.
  • Self-motivated and able to work on your own.
  • Professional, communicative and a team player.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Further education or Associate Degree in Electronics Engineering.
  • Experience using an ERP tool in a production environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, email and instant messaging.
