Job summary

Murata Power Solutions, Inc. in the United Kingdom is seeking a Production Operative to support manufacturing of electronic products. You will perform soldering, mechanical assembly, wiring and product testing in line with build docs and quality standards.

The role emphasises attention to detail, teamwork, problem-solving and effective communication, with opportunities to work across PCB, general assembly, SMT, coating, flow solder and test areas. 38 hours a week plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Previous experience of electronic assembly would be an advantage.
• Able to follow written work instructions with a keen eye for detail.
• Good manual dexterity and basic literacy/numeracy are required.
• Ability to distinguish colours and work across multiple production areas.

Responsibilities

• Perform soldering of through-hole and surface-mount components to IPC standards.
• Assemble mechanical and electromechanical components per build instructions.
• Carry out wiring and cable harness assembly following schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Follow written work instructions with a high level of concentration and accuracy.
• Maintain a clean and tidy production shop floor at all times.
• Support production across PCB, general assembly, SMT, coating, flow solder and test areas.
• Undertake other duties reasonably required of a Production Operative.
