Job description

Who are you?

An experienced Electronics and RF Engineer, you will have a proven track record in defining and delivering complex systems from initial feasibility / concept studies through to design, delivery, and test.


You will have proven ability to lead and manage technical teams.


A self-starter with a proven ability to manage risks and take pragmatic approaches to resolving technical issues.


Educated to at least degree-level or equivalent in a relevant scientific or engineering discipline with demonstrable ability in RF and digital signal processing application.


Experience in derivation and management of technical requirements for communication systems and equipment development.


Proven ability in verification and testing of communication systems.


Experience with secure communication systems, including knowledge of cryptography, key exchange, and physical layer protection.


Good understanding of requirements for various space mission types in LEO, GEO, and MEO environments, and how different standards apply.


Familiarity with licensing implications and industry standards as per ITU regulations, ECSS requirements, and CCSDS standards.


Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


Strong planning skills for development projects and confidence in project delivery.


What will you be doing here?

With support from team leaders, you will manage a team of technical specialists across Electronics and RF disciplines and be responsible for line management of engineers within the group.


You will design, develop, build, and test communication systems.


You will deliver a variety of projects to government and commercial clients.


You will collaborate within project teams to define communication systems for space and ground segments, ensuring efficient planning and implementation.


You will derive technical requirements and create test and verification plans, ensuring interaction with all relevant subsystems and disciplines.


You will help define best practices within your discipline and contribute to shaping future technical solutions.
