Job summary

A leading defence engineering business in Surrey is looking for an experienced Electronics Test Technician. You'll support a high-profile project focused on inspection, testing, and fault-finding of complex electronic assemblies. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in electronics fault diagnosis and knowledge of IPC standards. An active UK Security Clearance is required. The contract offers up to £30 per hour for six months.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an Electronics Test Technician within Defence, Aerospace, or similarly regulated sectors.
  • Knowledge of IPC standards for assembly inspection.
  • Strong background in analogue/digital electronics fault diagnosis.

Responsibilities

  • Perform inspection of electronic assemblies to IPC-A-610 standards.
  • Carry out formal testing using approved procedures and record results accurately.

Electronics Test Technician (Contract)

We're working with a leading defence engineering business in Surrey who are seeking an experienced Electronics Test Technician to support a high-profile project. This role will involve inspection, testing, and fault-finding of complex electronic assemblies in line with IPC standards and formal documentation.

Role Overview

  • Perform inspection of electronic assemblies to IPC-A-610 standards
  • Carry out formal testing using approved procedures and record results accurately
  • Conduct component-level fault-finding on analogue and digital circuit designs
  • Work closely with engineering teams to resolve test failures and implement corrective actions
  • Maintain calibration and ESD compliance for all test equipment used

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Electronics Test Technician within Defence, Aerospace, or similarly regulated sectors
  • Knowledge of IPC standards for assembly inspection
  • Strong background in analogue/digital electronics fault diagnosis
  • Ability to work to formal test documentation in a controlled environment
  • Active UK Security Clearance (SC)
