Job summary

Manpower UK Ltd in Fareham is seeking an Electronic Test Engineer for a 6-month contract with likely extensions. The role focuses on calibration, testing and fault finding of electronic and electromechanical equipment, using a range of measurement tools.

You will read drawings, perform verification tests, maintain safety, and work across departments with training and career progression opportunities. Shift: 2pm-10:30pm Mon-Thu, 11am to 4pm Fri; 25 days holiday + pension.

Qualifications

• Sets up and operates equipment to test/calibrate units/subassemblies as per instructions.
• Troubleshoot and analyse analogue/digital circuitry to component level.
• Provide detailed failure descriptions with root cause analysis.
• Follow company guidelines, policies and procedures.
• Carry out production/repair/assembly work across multiple departments.

Role: Electronic Test Engineer

Location: Fareham

Duration: 6 months (likely extensions)

Rate: £27.50/hour PAYE

Holiday entitlement - 25 day per annum (accrued) + pension scheme

Shift pattern: 2pm - 10:30pm Mon - Thurs and 11am to 4pm Friday

Responsibilities

The Ideal candidate must be motivated to learn and routinely practice excellent calibration techniques, you will need to complete work according to business instructions, specifications and procedure. You ideally will be competent in reading drawings, conducting a variety of verification tests and calibration on electronic and electromechanical equipment with the use of a range of common electronics measurement equipment and specialist type equipment such as Pressure controllers, and ideally possess skills around basic engineering competencies, fine assembly, calibration and test procedures.

• Skilled in the use of electronic test equipment, hand tools, power tools and electric soldering. Ability to read circuit diagrams.
