Overview

Job Title: Electronic Test Technician

Location: Dewsbury, West Yorkshire (on-site)

Salary: Circa £30,000 depending on experience

Hours: Full-time, Permanent

You’ll be the last person to touch the product before it goes out the door. Your attention to detail will make sure it’s faultless. We’re working with a growing manufacturer in Dewsbury that supplies electronic equipment to the global utilities sector. Their systems are used every day across water, gas and energy infrastructure, and every one of them needs testing before it ships and that’s where you come in. This is a hands-on role where you’ll carry out final-stage testing and sign-off for each unit before it reaches the customer.

You’ll follow structured testing procedures using equipment like multimeters, current clamps and PAT testers, and work closely with colleagues to resolve any issues you flag. You’ll be the one making sure everything’s working exactly as it should before it reaches the customer.

What you’ll be doing
  • Running functional and electrical safety checks on finished units.
  • Using multimeters, PAT testing tools and current clamps to verify performance.
  • Following standard test procedures and checklists.
  • Logging results and completing digital records.
  • Collaborating with production and engineering to resolve any issues.
  • Acting as the final quality checkpoint before dispatch.
