Electronic Build, Test & Repair Technician

Harrogate, £12.60 p/h

Temporary role with the potential to go permanent for the right candidate

Easily commutable from Leeds and York by train

Excellent opportunity for someone with confident electronic assembly, repair, and test skills to work for a growing manufacturer in the Harrogate area. The role would suit someone with experience in test and repair to component level or an electronics graduate looking for their first opportunity. The role is immediately available on a temporary basis with the potential to go permanent for the right candidate.

The company produces bespoke, specialist electromechanical equipment for a range of industries. The role involves repairing broken products and building new equipment.

Your role as the Electronic Build, Test & Repair Technician will include:

  1. Working to drawings to build and assemble electromechanical equipment to customer specifications
  2. Reworking, fault-finding, and repairing to component level
  3. Selection and soldering of components
  4. Some electrical assembly and repair of cable insertion systems
  5. Mechanical disassembly and assembly
  6. Final testing and quality inspection of products

As the Electronic Build, Test & Repair Technician, you will:

  • Have confident experience of test and repair to component level or hold a relevant engineering qualification in electronic engineering
  • Be able to solder neatly and use a wide range of hand tools
  • Recognize common electronic and mechanical components and systems
  • Be able to repair cable systems
  • Use basic electronic test equipment including multimeters and continuity testers
  • Be comfortable working in a targeted production environment
