Have you got good soldering skills? Attega Group is currently partnering exclusively with our client in recruiting an Electronic Assembly Technician to join the team.

This role involves testing, repairing, and maintaining electronic components and circuit boards, contributing to the smooth operation of critical equipment. You will work closely with our engineering and quality teams to ensure that all repairs meet required standards.

In return, our client is offering a salary of up to GBP29,000 P/A, depending on experience, plus 22 days holiday, rising to 25 days with length of service, on-site parking, company pension, early finish Fridays, and more! This role is full-time and permanent. Reporting to the Team Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:

  • Conduct general electronic testing and repair of equipment, including PCBs
  • Perform basic fault-finding and diagnostics
  • Use electronic test equipment such as:
    • Digital multimeters

    • Oscilloscopes

    • Signal generators

    • Power supply units (PSUs)

  • Read and interpret electronic circuit diagrams and schematics
    Carry out soldering and de-soldering tasks with precision
    Follow all relevant ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) procedures and precautions
    Document all repair and testing processes in line with company quality standards and accreditations

The ideal candidate:
  • Practical hands-on skills with electronic testing and fault-finding
  • Familiarity with ESD safety standards
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Experience with PCB repair (preferred)
  • Ability to read and understand technical diagrams
  • Good communication skills and a proactive approach to teamwork
