Job summary

IO Associates in the UK is seeking an Electronic Systems Security Consultant to deliver integrated electronic security designs across complex, regulated environments.

You will work across CCTV/VMS, access control, biometrics and networked security solutions, collaborating with clients and multi‑disciplinary teams to meet standards, budgets and schedules. This is a permanent, full‑time role with UK-wide scope.

Qualifications

• Strong experience across electronic security including CCTV/VMS, access control, IDS/alarms, biometrics.
• Good knowledge of wired/wireless networks in security environments.
• Experience producing designs using CAD / BIM / Revit.
• Understanding of government policies, legal requirements, and regulatory standards (NPSA, ISO, LPCB).
• Recognised affiliation with a security industry professional body (SyI, RSES, ASC).
• Clearance: Sole British Nationals — SC eligible

Responsibilities

• Deliver technical work across Electronic Security Systems specialist service areas, aligned to relevant standards and codes.
• Prepare briefs, scopes of work, and contribute to bid proposals across all design stages.
• Manage time and budgets against key milestones and programmes.
• Collaborate with clients and multi-disciplinary teams in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions.
• Maintain strong quality assurance across design outputs and deliverables.

Are you an Electronic Systems Security specialist with strong hands‑on experience across CCTV / VMS, access control, IDS, biometrics and networked security solutions, looking to step into high‑impact programmes across critical UK infrastructure?

I’m partnering with a major global consultancy supporting transformational security programmes across sectors including aviation, defence, energy, cities & development, education and water. In this role, you’ll work across the full security consulting and engineering lifecycle helping deliver integrated electronic security designs for complex, regulated environments.

The Details

Location: UK wide (preference for London, Bristol, Birmingham, Leeds, Manchester, Epsom)
Salary: £50,000 – £65,000 (DOE)
Type: Permanent, Full Time

• Understanding of relevant government policies, legal requirements, and regulatory standards (e.g., NPSA, ISO, LPCB or similar).
• Recognised affiliation with a relevant security industry professional body (e.g., SyI, RSES, ASC, etc.).
• Clearance: Sole British Nationals— must be SC eligible
