We are seeking an experienced F1 Electronic Systems Engineer for an immediate start. Proven F1 experience is highly desirable.

This role is based onsite in Northamptonshire and involves working with multiple projects and departments. Responsibilities include testing instrumentation, supporting ECU integration, and system troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

1. Develop electronic systems for cars, simulators, and test rigs.
2. Manage processes and procedures related to electronic systems.
3. Configure and calibrate instrumentation and logging systems.
4. Configure ECUs, data loggers, and instrumentation.
5. Develop software/tools for system configuration, calibration, and data analysis.
6. Support race and test events with electronic systems.
7. Diagnose faults in sensors, wiring, and control units.
8. Define electronic system requirements for projects.
9. Set up and decode CAN communications.
10. Debug embedded software in Simulink and C.
11. Analyze telemetry data for system health.
12. Develop onboard diagnostic software.

Requirements

1. Degree in Electronics, Mechanical, Automotive, or Mechatronics Engineering.
2. Strong analytical skills and electronic theory knowledge.
3. Knowledge of instrumentation, sensors, data loggers.
4. Experience with Matlab and Simulink.
5. Understanding of high-speed data acquisition and analysis systems.
6. Knowledge of automotive communication systems (CAN, Ethernet, etc.).
7. Experience with CANBUS diagnostic tools (PCAN, CANalyzer).
8. Experience with McLaren Applied tools (System Monitor, ATLAS).
9. Proficiency in C, C#, .NET.
10. Data-driven problem solving skills.
11. Flexible team player in a dynamic environment.
12. F1 or top-level motorsport electronic systems experience (preferred).
13. Passion for Formula 1 and high-level competition.
14. Experience with software engineering in C# (desirable).
