A recruitment agency is seeking an Electronic Repair Technician for a role in Peterborough. This position involves hands-on responsibilities such as evaluating and deploying measurement equipment, conducting diagnostics, and performing maintenance. Ideal candidates will have an electro-mechanical background and experience with emissions measurement technologies. The role offers a competitive hourly rate and potential shift work after six months.
Electronic Repair Technician - Peterborough
Initial 12 Month Contract (high chance of being extended)
Competitive Hourly Rate - up to GBP30 p/h Umbrella OR up to GBP22.30 p/h PAYE hourly rate plus holiday and pension contribution plus potential shift rate
Working Hours Mon-Thurs 8am-4pm & Fri 8am-3:30pm - please note that there is a high chance of this role changing to shift after 6 months (there will be a 22% shift uplift)
This Electronic Repair Technician role will support the Emissions Measurement Services department in the dedicated state of the art Europe Research & Development Centre in Peterborough.
The candidate needs the knowledge, base skills, and experience to be able to install, service, calibrate and maintain the fleet of emissions measurement equipment, this will include assisting engineers in conducting technical investigations of current and future emissions measurement technologies and processes in a laboratory environment.
Operating in a fast paced and professional technical environment, this role will provide an interesting variety of responsibilities and activities, with the opportunity to work both as part of a wider team and independently utilising initiative.
