Job summary

WA Consultants in Glasgow is seeking an Electronics/PCB Design Engineer for a hands-on contract role. You will work across the full design life cycle from concept to testing and production, focusing on analogue and digital circuits and PCB development.

The position involves 2-3 days per week on-site, with an IR35 Inside contract for 3-6 months. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to documentation and reviews.

I'm currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity for an experienced Electronics/PCB Design Engineer to join a leading engineering team in Glasgow.

This is a hands‑on role for an engineer with strong experience in electronics design and PCB development, working across the full design life cycle from concept through to testing and production.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop analogue and digital electronic circuits
• PCB schematic capture and layout
• Support PCB design through prototype, testing and validation
• Work with multidisciplinary engineering teams
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware/design issues
• Produce and maintain technical documentation
• Support design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement

Key Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in electronics design and PCB development
• Strong understanding of analogue and digital electronics
• Experience with PCB design tools such as Altium, Cadence, Mentor Graphics or similar
• Experience taking designs from concept through to prototype/testing
• Ability to read and produce schematics and technical documentation
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Experience working within a structured engineering environment
