Electronics / Firmware Engineer - (Hybrid Working)

£40,000 - £55,000 + 10% Bonus + 10.5% Pension Contribution

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Firmware Engineer to lead NPD innovative projects related to automation machinery technologies.

Join a fast growing SME and be part of their R&D Centre of excellence, supporting a myriad of global group partners with the introduction of a range of smart technology devices.

We are seeking an experienced Firmware Engineer to help drive the expansion of a design department and develop hardware and embedded software for a new and an expanding product range. The role will be in-charge of developing products, both on-site and remotely.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Designing Firmware and embedded software for use within the organisation’s products lines.
  2. Providing technical guidance to team members.
  3. Collaborating with various engineering disciplines within the organisation.
  4. Lead on identifying areas of improvement and assist implementing new processes.

Requirements and Experience:

  • Must have a Degree or similar qualification in Electronics Engineering or comparable subject.
  • Sustained experience in embedded firmware design, development, and testing (Essential).
  • Good experience of EMC design and test experience.
  • Good exposure in design validation process – FMEA, DFM.
  • Experience in the creation of supporting design documentation, development reports, BoM, build packs.
  • Experience of firmware unit, integration, and system testing.
