Overview

Responsibilities

• Responsible for testing, troubleshooting, installation, calibration, repair, and modification of equipment and systems.
• Solve technical problems in accordance with prescribed specifications.
• Conduct laboratory and shipboard work.
• Conduct submarine ship checks to determine the necessary efforts to seamlessly install systems onboard a platform.
• Draft Memorandums of Agreement, Work Authorization Forms, System Tagouts, and Controlled work packages.
• Provide technical input and review for developing new Temporary Alterations (TempAlts), Operational Alterations (OpAlts), and Ship Alterations (ShipAlts).
• Author detailed reports.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain a secret clearance.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 6+ years of experience working with sonar systems as a sonar technician in the Navy.

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $65,700.00/Yr. - USD $109,700.00/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
