Job summary

MBDA UK Ltd in Bolton is seeking an Electronic Engineering Technician in the Production Design Support department, carrying out a range of technical activities under guidance to meet process, quality and other requirements. The main purpose is to support production at our site and contribute to testing and documentation.

The role offers hybrid working (4 days on site, 1 day remote) with a comprehensive benefits package including a company bonus, pension up to 14%, potential overtime,flexible

Qualifications

• Ideally NVQ Level 3 in Electronic & Electrical Engineering.
• 2+ years prior work experience in a similar hands-on lab / shop floor role.
• HNC/HND in Electronic & Electrical Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and verify engineering work and manufactured equipment against defined standards.
• Carry out tests and technical investigations across products to ensure they meet specifications.
• Compile associated test and verification reports.
• Provide data for problem assessment and design improvements.
• Provide support in resolving problems and issues and, where appropriate, capture non compliances using established standards and tools.
• Carry out standard activities, including production of documentation to support the in-service use of products.
• Interface with customers in relation to standard issues, including resolving straightforward queries and problems, logging and actioning all items.
• Contribute as appropriate to engineering team decisions.
• Keep full and accurate records of all work and activities carried out.

Job description

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to work as an Electronic Engineering Technician within the Production Design Support department, carrying out a range of technical activities under guidance in line with all relevant process, quality and other requirements.

Salary: Up to £38,000 depending on experience

Hybrid working pattern

Where possible, we will seek to accommodate a blended approach to on-site and remote working such as 4 days on site 1 day remote working.

Security Clearance

British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship.

Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

What we're looking for from you
