Electronic Engineering Lab Technician

This company is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Electronic Engineering Lab Technician to join their growing team. As a key member of the Electronic Engineering department, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and managing the company's state-of-the-art laboratory facilities.

The Electronic Engineering Lab Technician will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and optimal utilisation of the assigned laboratory. This includes overseeing general housekeeping, maintaining health and safety standards, managing electrostatic discharge protocols, and coordinating the maintenance and calibration of equipment and assets. The successful candidate will also provide hands-on support to laboratory users, offering training and guidance on various lab techniques and the use of specialised equipment.

To excel in this position, you will need a strong technical background, excellent organisational skills, and a keen eye for detail. Experience in a similar laboratory environment, coupled with a deep understanding of electronic engineering principles and best practices, will be highly advantageous.

Key Responsibilities of the Electronic Engineering Lab Technician:

- Maintain the assigned laboratory in a clean, tidy, and organised state at all times
- Assist laboratory users with project planning and coordination, ensuring efficient use of facilities
- Provide support and training to lab users on various techniques and equipment usage
- Manage the maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment and assets
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and security protocols
- Liaise with key stakeholders, including project managers, product line leaders, and the Electronic Engineering UK Lab Manager
- Contribute to the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the Electronic Engineering department
