An exciting opportunity for an Electronic Engineer to fast-track their career development as a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) Associate. You will undertake a 3-year collaborative project between PB Design Ltd and Brunel University London.
Based predominantly at the company’s premises near Bristol, the post holder will take a leading role in the development of a smart bidirectional EV charger.
Location: PB Design Ltd, Bristol
Salary: £34,000 up to £38,000 dependent on experience
Hours: Full-time
Contract Type: Fixed-term 36 months

The Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Electronic Engineer to fast-track their career as a KTP Associate. The role involves a 3-year collaborative project between PB Design Ltd and Brunel University London, primarily based near Bristol, leading the development of a smart bidirectional EV charger.
The University:
Supervision will be provided by leading electronic engineers from Brunel University London. Brunel, founded in 1966 and named after the engineer Isambard Kingdom Brunel, is located in the area of England and is renowned for its research and education in engineering, design, computer science, and mathematics.
The Candidate:
You should be a graduate in Electronic/Computer Engineering with a master's degree or a good (1st or 2:1) first degree. Experience in designing power electronic circuits, programming, and embedded systems is desirable. Familiarity with PCB design software, PSpice, or Multisim is advantageous. You should have an interest in practical engineering, some hands-on experience, and be familiar with programming in C and developing embedded systems. You must be able to plan, organize, and work to deadlines, taking ownership of the project including managing finances, resources, and timing.
