Job Description

Electronic Engineer required by an established company developing high-tech products located in Poole.

The Electronic Engineer is likely to have a relevant degree in Electronic Engineering and commercial experience in electronic hardware and/or system design. Altium Designer experience is desirable.

The Electronic Engineer will be responsible for:

1. Working with product managers to refine new product development goals and specifications.
2. Developing and designing hardware solutions to meet required specifications.
3. The creation of schematic designs and PCB layouts for complex SoC-based systems.
4. Ensuring designs are optimized for performance, manufacturability, and cost.
5. Developing test plans to ensure regulatory compliance.
6. Participating in / leading design reviews.
7. Ensuring design solutions are robust and reliable by using appropriate tools and techniques for testing, validation, and documentation.

Key Experience:

• Proven commercial experience in electronic hardware and/or system design.
• Development of embedded single-board computers - ideally NXP i.MX family SoCs or similar.
• EMC testing.
• PCB design - ideally using Altium Designer.
• Digital and/or analogue design.
• Hardware integration.

Experience in any of the following areas would be advantageous but is not a prerequisite:

• Sensor integration.
• Any software development knowledge - C/C++, Python, etc.
