Electronic / Electrical Design Engineer

Job Details:

• You will be an analytical person with an understanding of technical engineering projects and electrical/electronic applications.
• Highly self-motivated with experience in feasibility analysis, design, and testing.

Education:

• Minimum HNC / HND in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
• Knowledge of electrical standards (UK, EU, US, etc.).

Skills:

• Experience within ISO 9001, AS9100, or IATF certified environments.
• Understanding of DFMEA, PFMEA activities.
• Feasibility studies for new technical innovations.
• High-level discussions with customers and suppliers.
• Understanding of CANbus and similar communication standards.
• Good knowledge of analogue and digital electronics.
• Knowledge of connector technology and protection against atmospheric extremes.
• Proficiency in drawing plans and schematics using CAD software.
• Experience testing electrical/electronic control and power systems, analyzing data.
• Ability to document technical findings in reports and presentations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and SolidWorks.

Experience:

• Sourcing electrical components, ECUs, engine control systems.
• Experience with DC/DC converters, alternators, generators, controllers, battery charging.
• Experience in hybrid systems is a plus.
• BOM creation.

Communication Skills:

Self-motivated with excellent oral and written communication skills, capable of engaging in briefings, presentations, and written correspondence.

Excellent problem-solving skills, data-driven, able to identify root causes and suggest critical improvements.
