Job description

The Role

The Design Engineer is responsible for the design and manufacturing support of the products. Day-to-day tasks include designing and evaluating electro-mechanical parts, assemblies, and firmware, while providing support to the production team.

Responsibilities and Duties

1. Work within the R&D team to design new systems, circuits, and devices.
2. Develop existing products and technologies.
3. Test theoretical designs.
4. Write technical documentation and compile technical files.
5. Follow defined development processes.
6. Integrate design with other products.
7. Maintain knowledge of medical standards including IEC 60601-1 Ed 3, ISO 14971, IEC 62366, ISO 62304, ISO 13485, and FDA guidelines CFR 21.
8. Ensure compliance with medical design and product regulations.
9. Test prototypes and analyze data.
10. Attend meetings with subcontractors and clients.
11. Stay updated with technological and regulatory developments.
12. Prepare product or design reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
13. Work flexibly across departments to meet business needs.

The Candidate
