Electronic Design Engineer - Job Description

Our client, a long-established electronics business with an interesting product range and a talented & stable design team, seeks to appoint an Electronic Design Engineer. With an on-site team of software and mechanical design engineers providing support as required, you will work on electronic hardware designs for multiple projects. The ideal candidate will have good analogue and digital design skills, some exposure to embedded systems, and strong bench engineering skills.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will work on a variety of exciting projects, often under tight deadlines. Good time management skills are essential. You will be part of an experienced team with a positive working environment, with scope to take charge of your own projects and develop your career.

Responsibilities

• Product development of analogue and power electronics-based systems
• PCB layout & circuitry
• Prototyping and testing
• Manufacturing scale-up

Candidate Requirements

• Degree in Electronic Engineering or a related discipline
• Experience designing practical products in a manufacturing environment
• Basic mechanical engineering knowledge
• Good working knowledge of analogue and digital electronics
• Experience with high voltage electronic work is a major advantage
