Job description

Electronic Calibration Engineer (Test & Measurement Instruments)

A new vacancy for an Electronic Calibration Engineer with a specialist calibration laboratory based in the city of Bradford. With ongoing training provided, the job holder will eventually become multi-disciplined and work across all the company's departments. Candidates must be qualified to Degree/HND level, with at least 2 years of experience working with high-end precision ELECTRONIC INSTRUMENTS.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Calibrate a wide range of precision Measurement instruments & Test equipment at the company's UKAS-accredited laboratories within a guaranteed turnaround of 5 days.
  2. Identification and development of result sheets, including measurement tolerances and uncertainty budgets.
  3. Identification and development of new calibration activities, methods, and equipment to enhance company capabilities.
  4. Commitment to meeting deadlines and delivering a high level of service to its customers.
  5. Working as part of a team and liaising with other departments and senior managers.

Additional Support:

Support with any relevant role within the company as required to cover staff holidays, absence, and peak workload demands.

Skills/Qualifications:

  1. Ability to meet deadlines as required by customers.
  2. A Degree / HND or equivalent education in either electronics, engineering, sciences, or other appropriate discipline.
  3. Experience and knowledge of working to the requirements of ISO9001, ISO/IEC17025 and M3003 standards (or in UKAS-accredited environment).
  4. Experience and the ability to use the latest Microsoft Office 365 suite including Word, Outlook, Excel, and other bespoke software applications.
